Obtain a Copy - Public Documents & Marriages

Copies of public documents are provided by the Recorder's Office for a fee. Personal Information is defined by NRS 603A.040.

Please note: the Recorder's Office does not conduct document searches.

Public Documents

To obtain a copy of a public document, give us a call at (775) 847-0967, send an email to recorder@storeycounty.org, or make your request in person at the Recorder's Office:

Marriage Certificates

Locate the certificate by using the online search or by calling our office. Images of marriage certificates after 1975 are not available online, however, indexed information is retrievable if the marriage license was issued by Storey County and if the certificate was presented to the County Recorder for recordation. If you applied for your license in another Nevada county, please contact that county for a certified copy.

Search marriages pre-1974

Search marriages 1975 to present

Certified copies are $15.00 each.  Three options are available to order a certified copy:

1) In person at our office, we are located in the Storey County Courthouse on the 2nd floor.

2) Via mail or fax at (775) 847-1009 using our 
Request for marriage record form. If mailing, please address to our PO Box.

3) Via phone at (775) 847-0967 using a credit card.  A transaction fee of $2.00 is charged by the processing party on all credit card orders.  Once payment is received, we will process your request and mail the certified copy.
