The Storey County Assessor is responsible for valuing all real and personal property for the purpose of issuing property taxes that help fund the county school district, public safety, community development, capital improvements, public works and other services in Storey County. The Assessor determines the equitable value of property to ensure that each taxpayer pays only his or her fair share of the taxes.
