The deadline is extended to Oct. 29 for local small businesses to apply for COVID-related funding as part of Storey County's grant program. The funding is available to assist small businesses impacted by the pandemic with expenses like PPE, utilities and retrofits. Grant amounts of $5,000 and $10,000 will be awarded depending on the individual business.
Applications are accepted through Oct. 29. Grants are awarded on an as-needed and first-come, first-served basis.
To complete the application or for details on eligible businesses, visit the Nevada Association of Counties website.
To be eligible you must have a Storey County business license, or applicable state business license.
The county has partnered with the University of Nevada’s Small Business Development Center to assist businesses with the application process. Request free and confidential assistance at www.nevadasbdc.org or by calling 800-240-7094 to make an appointment with a counselor.
The funding for this program comes from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. All eligible businesses impacted by COVID-19 are urged to seek grant funding through this program.
