Mission
It is the mission of the Storey County Victim Services Unit to provide support and assistance to victims and witnesses of crime in a responsible and ethical manner. VSU Coordinator Debra Burns and our trained staff are here to help ease the victim’s journey through the court process. Our services include:
24/7 Access
Assistance to victims in crisis situations
Assistance with restraining/temporary protective order applications
Court accompaniment
Referrals for counseling and/or financial assistance
Safety planning
Temporary and transitional shelter to victims of domestic violence
