The Storey County Communications Center operates a 24-hour emergency communications facility for all public safety within the county. The facility is currently located in Virginia City.

Depending upon the nature of the call, the communications center will either dispatch Fire, Rescue, Ambulance, and/or Law Enforcement.

Additionally, non-emergency calls placed to 775-847-0950 for any request for assistance, report of a crime, request for information, or animal complaints are handled through the communications facility.
