We’re thrilled to support our local seniors (60+) with a variety of programs designed to make life easier and more enjoyable in both our Virginia City and Lockwood Communities.
Virginia City Services

Meals on Wheels
- Lunch provided at your home for homebound clients Monday through Friday.
- Optional, frozen meals for the weekend and bi-weekly gallon milk delivery. 775-847-0957
Congregate Dining (open to all)
- Monday through Friday, 12:00-1:00pm, stop by the Storey County Senior Center for your freshly made lunch. 775-847-0957
- Price: 60+: $3 suggested donation - 59 and younger: $5
Transportation Service
- Schedule a ride for doctor's appointments, prescription pick-up, grocery shopping, and social activities. 775-443-3033
Homemaker Program
- Light house cleaning services. 775-847-0957
Case Management Services
- Assistance with food stamps, energy assistance, financial assistance, senior discounts, making medical appointments, miscellaneous paperwork and applications, finding available resources for you. To make an appointment call 775-847-0957.
Food Pantry (open to all) MONDAY, THURSDAY, & FRIDAY (11-1)
- Canned goods, other non-perishable foods, and pet food (if in stock) for those in need. 775-847-0957
Senior Food Boxes
- Monthly delivered food box usually with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable foods. 775-847-0957
