The Storey County Department of Emergency Management has many aspects to it, as it represents the interests of our residents, businesses, and visitors.

Working closely with all public safety aspects of the county, SCDEM works to formulate the planning and response processes for all types of hazards, emergencies, disasters, or events that may impact the well-being and lifestyles enjoyed in the county.

We work in partnership with local, regional, state, and federal agencies, as well as our community, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to all hazards.
