The Storey County IT Department was created in 2006 to service the growing technology needs of the individual Departments of Storey County.  Today the IT Department manages hundreds of users, thousands of devices and millions of dollars of infrastructure.  Our mission continues to be to serve those Departments and the Citizens of Storey County now and into the future with cutting edge technologies, high speed data links and enterprise class hardware and software solutions.   The IT Department is humbled and honored with the trust and responsibility that is placed with us and as such commit to maintaining and upholding the Binary Values.

As providers and protectors of Public Data, Integrity must be our primary core value.   Integrity in not only our data but also in our professional conduct.  Public Trust is earned and maintained thru transparency and factually verifiable, retrievable data.  Every technical or business process in the IT Department will be guided by this core value so that at any point, simple analysis can show fiscal and professional accountability at any time, from the start of that process to the completion of that process.

The Information Technology Department will leverage knowledge, experience, best practices, research, out-of-the-box thinking and creative solutions to provide our organization the highest level of Excellence in technology services and support possible.   We commit to unrelenting Tenacity to resolve any issue, meet any challenge and complete our services in a timely, professional and responsive manner.   All service requests will be tracked until completion or a reasonable outcome has been achieved and documented.
